I’d once managed someone out a few years ago. I then moved to a couple different companies before joining Facebook as an Eng manager. A reorg ended up putting that person (who’d also moved to Facebook) in my team a few months ago.
I’ve tried giving this guy the benefit of the doubt but I see substantial issues with his performance, their previous manager had noncommittal feedback and I think the right thing for the team is to manage him out again.
Anyone been in this situation before? Have to admit I can’t wait to get rid of him.

It’s too much work at Facebook to be honest. It was much easier getting rid of people like this at Amazon where I’d managed him out last.
Now you sound like a toxic person to judge people for what they do on weekends.
Now i kind of believe Amazon managers are ruining FB.
Weekends are for relaxing not for working!
