I got my first job out of university at UBS. I am grateful to have gotten the position but I feel like the compensation is low. Base: $48,000 Bonus: Will receive in a few months but I expect no more than $1,500. Im not in a major city but I feel like this shouldn’t have decrease the pay to this level. I would love to hear some opinions on this.
I am not familiar with cost of living in Nashville, but comp range is heavily determined by location. You may not have a better life getting paid 2X that much in NYC. https://www.bestplaces.net/cost-of-living/new-york-ny/nashville-davidson-tn/350000 Overall, Nashville-Davidson, Tennessee is 45.8% cheaper than New York, New York
It is low, but... I just plugged it into a col calculator and this would mean 70k in Weehawken or much more in Manhattan. That's about the market rate right now. As you might know, Franklin has high turnover rate as there are other companies around...
First of all congratulations ! Which city are you in ? Salary range really varies depending on the city.
