Found out today Flexport is rescinding my summer internship offer. If anyone’s still hiring summer interns please let me know!

    Why did you pick Flexport over Google in the first place? It is very widely known that Flexport's tech culture sucks big time.

      ^ I meant as a 120% project. For eg there is a project to submit a proposal for a new filesystems, I want to do it becaude I want to do more c level coding and contribute to open source why should my carrer grow at Google happen because of that, to my current org that is useless work and it makes no sense to reawrd me for that.

      But if I want to transition into doing that or I am doing it to learn things it provides me a nice self contained project to do that, its a great opportunity. I have been at other companies where the code base is so restricted and not at all collaborative that you cant even learn skills on your extra time.

      I already declined the return offer but sent an email to my recruiter. Pretty sure they’re done hiring for summer though
