So tough to find a job in Us if you are not an engineer.
Less than what?
Less than Market rates. My point is getting a job is itself a big deal. I don’t know why people are worried about if they are earning 100k or 110k. Just accept it already
A lot of people are interviewing with multiple companies and have multiple offers. Best case scenario is maximizing comp at the team/company you want to join
Yeah you should refer me at Facebook
The whole point of this app is to gossip about those kind of things, though. It's not like we can do this on any other social media without seeming like the spoiled brats we all already know we are
People always are thinking of ways to improve their current situation. That is core human nature, atleast in my opinion.
Buffalo Wild Wings > FANG
In most metropolitan areas where tech companies are located $100k is breaking even. I have a family I support. I need more like $250k to be comfortable.
If you don't believe people here on COL for places like Bay Area. Family of 4, house/large enough apartment is 4k-5k/mn easy. If you take the high end of that range it's 60k/yr post tax. Pretax at 33% effective tax already 90k pretax income. This isn't including food, insurance, clothing, vacation, etc. If you have a family to support, 100k is barely breaking even.
What do you do for Buffalo Wild Wings?
Connecting business and IT teams. More like a product owner/manager without any liabilities.
