This is for a software engineer role and they have asked me to prepare a presentation on some architecture or interesting problem. Is this normal for Apple onsite interview?
At MathWorks this is the standard interview practice Present to team, then several 1:1s with engineers Make your presentation interesting. start high level by outlining functional design, explain technical challenges, dive deeper into architecture with UML, sequence diagrams, and code snippets. End with lessons learned Always be clear on what YOU did vs the entire team
Well said. Good advice. this is very common in sales, haven't heard it much for SWE roles. Gives you a chance to show off your skills, look at it as an advantage if you do it correctly
They wanna see if you can speak english. Too many azn that lol
The irony is strong with this comment
:(
Only certain teams do. Dm me for more details.
Also.do you choose work problem? Or should it be completely unrelated?
Hadn’t heard that one but given that Apple takes pride in its great presentations and keynotes I think it’s awesome. Look at past WWDC recordings for inspiration!
Intuit asked me to do the same thing. I actually thought it was an effective interview technique.
Hey how was your interview experience with intuit? Was it for S.E. role? I have an on-site interview coming up in next 2 weeks and they have asked me to prepare a presentation.
It was an architect role and the overall experience was quite pleasant. Nothing screw ball or out of ordinary and everyone was friendly.
