I have a job offer from a Fortune 100 company for 70% more than my previous salary! And a much more senior title. Debated with my self if I should post this or not. People posting on LinkedIn and Blind have helped me so maybe this can also help someone but at the same time don’t want to be thought of as a humble brag. Was laid off by Groupon (my whole team and I) even though we were revenue generating. It came as a shock to me eventhough I knew Groupon was struggling. I over achieved and constantly had the best reviews and feedback. It didn’t feel good obviously. If you’ve been laid off keep going. Take it one day at a time. I know it sounds like a cliché and after three months it feels like it’ll never happen. But it will! You are allowed to feel upset. It’s upsetting. So take the moment. Then spend some time with your partner, bbq, play video games or anything else that makes you happy. And when you wake up tomorrow you’re going to get up and apply and keep applying. You will get soemthing better than what you lost. TC: 366 YOE: 12 Non-Engineering role
