One of my fellow Indian co workers spoke to me today to thank me for Americans in general being so tolerant towards Indians. He told me he himself plans to leave the US as soon as possible because he is tired of the way Indians tarnish his reputation by abusing the immigration system by lying on their resumes, getting signed up for fake universities while h1B gets approved, etc. He even named all the co workers that were involved in this just to prove his point. He even went as far to mention the US should do away with H1 B either that or make foreign tech workers pass a difficult exam to get in since America is now getting many unqualified candidates. I was very discouraged to hear all this and would like to hear your thoughts. Is this really that normal? TC 125k
Nice story! I like it how you used “Co worker” here!
Asking for a friend
It's actually true. I'm just trying to get a feel for how wide spread of an issue this is.

I personally met an Indian consultant told me the story how he came here. Yes, new human trafficking. They used fraud came in by airplane ✈️ and landed with hitech job offered by Indian consulting companies. And then and then and then...
What?! They offered a job that is double or triple the salaries back in their home country? Someone call the cops! hello_police.jpg
Worse. The guy was a miner, he told me he paid money in India. A few month later, they ship him to here with a hitech consultant job.
Very nice coworker you got there. Totally support his initiative of going back.
Troll post but he has a point.
Im pretty sick of the influx to be honest. I am indian myself . But really frustrating to see cities build rat like apartment complexes just to accommodate the influx of h1bs (i.e Fremont)
Yes, my apartment run out off hot water during rush hours, since multiple Indian families share a one bed room apartment. 😂
You guys have so much details about frauds committed by Indians in US including company, name, location etc. Have you reported it to USCIS yet? Just curious. when will we read about these in the papers? Do it immediately else you are all complicit in the fraud.
Can you report an ICC to USCIS? Like would USCIS actually do something about it? I got name and location of about 3 of them
They claim they want to catch all abusers and their Twitter handle publishes such news periodically. Search in google far the email id that USCIS set up.
All the negativity towards Indians here is totally misguided. Your government created a system that allowed a whole lot of cheap labor from India to get H1Bs. It is not the fault of people who took advantage of better opportunities that were available to them compared to what was available in their home country. I never worked for consulting company and never lied about my qualifications. But I can see why many people did given that the system had become that way. The federal government is the only one to be blamed here for not taking corrective action when all of this was happening. Something should have been done the first time they needed to have a lottery for H1Bs back in 2005-2007. You think they didn't realize that the bulk of H1Bs were being paid barely above the minimum required 60k? This is all 20 years in the making. For a while things tightened up during the financial crisis. Then Obama and Dems took over and all the "hope" for "change" went towards CIR, and nothing got done for legal immigration reform. Then came the patch on the broken system called H4 EAD.
Interesting. I actually agree with you. If the US is being neieve and allowing this too happen then the politicians and big corporations that are propagating this matter are to blame.
One more point. It is not just Indians. How is there a sudden surge in "international managers" from Vietnam and Philippines? You just don't see them in tech because they are staffing hospitals and hotels.
Brace for impact on this post boys
