Canada arrests the CFO of Huawei and plans to extradite her to US on charges of violating American sanctions on trading with Iran. Does anyone see the multiple layers of injustice here? Imagine if Pakistan arrested the CFO of Google for doing business with Taiwan which violated Chinese sanctions against Taiwan. What a brazen violation of human rights and act of aggression. Yet some US politicians have the gall to call Chinese trading with Iran “aggression”. Whatever you think of Iran, this is an outrage. No nation has the right to force its will on another nation like this. American totalitarianism over the rest of the world needs to confrontés and stopped NOW!

No to US imperialism! No to violation of sovereignty! No to violation of human rights! Free Meng Wanzhou NOW!

I am Chinese, and I think Chinese like OP should gtfo and go back to China. If you hate the US so much why stay? There are many Chinese who live here and love the US. We all left China because the government is utter shit and human rights are really non-existence there. 不要一颗老鼠屎坏了一锅粥,好日子放着不过你就滚回国吧.

That's the whole point of extradition treaties. If you commit a crime that one country feels is serious enough, they can get you arrested in another country with an extradition treaty then sent to face the charges against you.

If you don't want to get caught by that, you have two options: either don't commit any crimes, or if you do, don't go to any countries with an extradition treaty that could get you to face the charges levied against you.

Also, you still get a trial, so it's not as if it's go straight to prison, do not pass go, nor collect $200.

Can’t believe some of you defend such despicable behavior by the us and Canadian governments. In Nazi germany you would say the Jews were breaking German law. This is pure abduction.

      Copy paste

US authorities have been investigating Huawei since at least 2016 for allegedly shipping US-origin products to Iran and other countries in violation of US export and sanctions laws, sources told Reuters in April.

I like democracy too. I don’t think it gives a government or country more “rights” in any sense especially vis a vis non democratic countries. It’s a fundamental difference of opinion.

Iran is a force for good in the Middle East. It has been maligned and attacked by some countries for decades, but that does not make it ok. (Check out the shoot down of an Iranian airliner in 1988 by US Navy, for which the shooter was rewarded). Lending a hand to Iran is a right and responsibility of all those who love justice.

For readers who are looking for the motivation behind the smoke show:

Trump administration attempts to hold CFO of Huawei as hostage for trade negotiation. But the reckless move is not going to work and will probably backfire just like all other political stunts he did. The last thing we want to see is trade war escalation. The stock market has been crazy enough.

What do you have anything to gain from the trade war?

Nothing to gain or lose from the trade war in the short term. If anything, it might just deflate some of the overpriced stocks, so it could be a good opportunity to buy.

Today's trade war related stock price fluctuations are completely irrelevant to the long term performance of the stock market (on a time horizon longer than 20 years).

What's not irrelevant to the long term performance of the US stock market is the rampant IP theft by Chinese companies, and if the trade war manages puts a damper on that, I'm all for it.

China did this first by not letting American citizens leave China to lure their dad back in the country.

That might not be right but at least China did not put the children in jail or charge them with any crime. It simply prevents them from leaving China, which may be bad, but explicitly said the kids were innocent.

Chinese governments argument was that since they used Chinese national IDs while in China, they are Chinese nationals. Not saying I buy this argument, just offering a different perspective. US media don't tell is everything

I only trust what we can see and scientifically systematically proved. Oftentimes political opinions favor the louder side, not necessarily the wiser side or right side, so not trustworthy to me. Just like you. No matter how much BS you said, I don’t see any real points in it. Bye

America is interfering in China’s legitimate economic activities. It is trying to destroy China just like it had destroyed countless other countries. Remember the lies about Iraq? Here we go again with slander against China. The propaganda drones are here on Blind spewing their venom.

China has every right to sell to Iran, its a great country which needs help against its enemies and happens to be beneficial to China too. Other countries have the right to keep out of Chinese-Iranian relations and mind their business.
