I am a passionate, and experienced "full-stack" digital marketer living in the Orlando area with 5 years experience. I have a decent, salaried day job and am looking for one solid and paying client. All my experience is with agencies and in-house marketing teams. I know that most people seeking freelance help either go to an agency - or they pay the "India Price", how do I find someone, worth working for and not scare them away with $ amounts?
"Full stack digital marketer" is code for "I have no skills, pay me because I am Millennial trash."
Are you serious, or are you an ass/ troll? Millenial trash? For years I have successfully managed corporate PPC accounts, managed paid social with 100k monthly budgets, was the SEO for major online properties, and have worked with web developer redesigning the sales funnels of multimillion dollar sites. What generational cohort do you belong to? I am sure they can insert trash before it.
Dont stress the trolls, I focused on a specific area to grow my side business. What I would say is find the area you have a strength such as manufacturing, or pharma then focus on the specific clients you want. Build a solid portfolio that solves issues you see in there space and then engage them. When they look at you they will see someone that is prepared to help. Not just another person chasing a paycheck. I have had clients for 35 years, because I work as a strategic partner with there business, they are profitable because I give them good advise. And they see it and keep me around.
