I currently work for a Salesforce partner (SI) and went from sole contributor crushing it to managing a sales team (still crushing it).
Base = $160 OTE= $250
I’ve realized I am not excited by the people management, and get the most energy from being “on the ground”, and am considering moving back into an AE role. Plus, I’m a high performer and consistently exceeded my quota, and in my space you can make more $ as an AE than a Director.
What are the best places to go sell in a fairly technical capacity, while still having a life? I have young children and value being there for them, but don’t want to leave $ on the table either during these years. I am looking to consistently grow, not have a role that is stagnant, and am used to selling enterprise accounts to CXO roles. I’ve been focused last 5+ years on services and corresponding Salesforce products, but have 10 years experience.
