How long does each of these companies take from starting an interview to making an decision in general. SDE positions. Assuming the candidate is not pushing dates back. Airbnb, Uber, Facebook, Google, MS, Netflix, Oracle, Apple, and your company. TC 200
Google is very very long. You can go through another company’s entire process and have the offer expire in the amount of time between Google’s HC and the offer letter.
If you have competing offer, Google will move faster. I got mine in 2 weeks. I think 10 days is probably their fastest even with competing offers.
7 days for me at Airbnb from telephonic interview to offer. I had other pending offers in hand. After last interview, they look 1 day to offer.
Independent of pending offers, snapchat gave offer the next day four years ago. Not sure how long it takes these days.
I had my on-site w/ Google on Friday - how long should I expect to wait until I know if I’m being forwarded to HC?
Oracle takes forever
Think months...
Interviewed on Friday got verbal offer by Wednesday and numbers on Thursday. It shouldn’t take more than a week if they want you...otherwise I take it as a sign there’s weird budget problems or internal politics and that’s a big red flag for me in terms of company culture.
2-6 months at Google
In what case specifically it will take 6 months?
long delays in hearing back from recruiters, setting up interviews, cancelled interviews, getting feedback from onsite + HC + VPs, additional interviews, slow match after finding and talking with several teams, hiring freeze for areas without headcount, complications in background check, negotiations - in rare cases, it can take more than a month for just one step in the process
