Receive an email saying Amazon is creating another job title FEE under SDE job family. What does this imply? Does FEE usually receive higher or lower pay than SDE or the same? Is it worth trying? No troll please.
Lower TC but easier interview.
No. No. No.
Is in the SDE family. Pay is the same. Interview will be different since most SDEs wouldn't pass it, including the dude that said this.
Same compensation at places like FB. No idea about Amazon. Usually it's just a different interview track.
It's a new role. Created this week. It will be similar pay as SDE.
I basically am this but was hired before this title was created. Should I attempt to get this title or stay as a “generalist” who is honestly just frontend. Is there any benefit to conforming to this role?
$$$$
You should stay as SDE. It looks better
Biggest benefit is the job title matches your desired work. SDE doesn't look better on a resume unless you don't want to be a frontend only dev. Change titles if you want to be frontend/full stack. Stay SDE if you want to primarily work backend.
WDE < ( FEE == SDE) Basically your title should match what you do. Plus it has a higher pay band than WDE.
Tc ?
