Frustrated with bureaucracy and lethargy!
I guess everyone knows that Salesforce is a slow-paced organization. But the bureaucracy in getting things done is absolutely dismal! I personally spend more time worrying about this and as a result burning out.
I have wonderful folks in the team but these folks are quite senior and they're used to these and they're pretty chilled out. I'm trying really hard to fathom it but I feel I'm wasting my time and energy!
Folks here might be like, why the fuck don't you prepare and get the hell out of Salesforce. But as a company, this is probably one of the best places I've been. I've established myself in the group to an extent plus there's a lot of freedom. As a result I spend time on growing myself as a person through other activities as well.
But the fact that I'm having my time and effort wasted is quite irksome. I had a chat with my manager about it and he has had his fair share of dealing with it too. He mentioned that this is pretty much the case with FANG (and other companies) as well.
So I'm not sure if me just jumping the gun and starting to interview is solving the problem because I feel that's just running away from the problem to something unknown which might be even worse! Folks at FANG and other companies, how do you deal with bureaucracy, especially when you know it's a dead-end dealing with this.
PS: Even if I want to start Leetcode, it's going to take a while before I get my mental juices flowing and I'm dreading the time I'll have to spend and even the thought depresses me :P
