This is my first perf review in Tiktok and its unlike anything I have experienced in the past. Moreover, I received negative rating and I suspect my manager was biased. I dont agree with what they shared but they gave me justification that it was aggregation of all my reviews received and wouldnt share any other details. Does anyone know if there is any process to request visibility into all of my perf reviews? I am fairly confident that I have received positive/neutral review from most xfn partners but just not from manager. I also worked almost 10-11 hours per day and sometimes even on weekends. So I cant believe how I could get such negative review.
Are companies obligated legally to share my review if I appeal? If not, how to legally ask them to disclose it? Can I file a simple discrimination case and subpoena them?

TC: 290k but without bonus it is about 250k and rest is paper money with no prospect of company going ipo anytime soon so actual money is just about 162k

You work at a major chinese company like I do. Speaking mandarin is a pre-requisite to getting good reviews and promotions. Itโ€™s time to interview.

  • Big companies cant fire u unless they have a reason. They build up this cases by giving u bad reviews

  • I really think it's more worth it longer term to divert your energy into grinding LC to leave than to fight a multi-billion dollar global corporation in a legal battle.

Also my managers have always been upfront that impact > hours worked in perf reviews, so long days + weekends won't help you at all to bump up your rating unfortunately. Don't push yourself so hard for a company that doesn't even appreciate the effort ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

    • Is this a good idea if I think I was treated unfairly in an interview? And I want to interview for this company again.

Idk I think theyโ€™re different departments so I doubt theyโ€™d flag you as they probably donโ€™t have the infrastructure. But obviously do at your own risk as you are in uncharted territory
