I thought H1B’s required an office location. If they didn’t there wouldn’t be a basis to issue the visa, since (technically) you could just work from your home country. So my guess is, officially no. But it’s certainly possible your boss might let you work the majority of your time remotely. But it wouldn’t be officially work from home and it would be subject to change on a moments notice if you got a new boss, corporate policy, etc.
Any job can be wfh if manager is ok. H1b doesn’t require you to work from a particular office.
