Anyone here going college fulltime (online or onsite Bachelor/Masters)? Want to hear your stories. Is it doable?
make sure your management is bought into it ... you will have conflicts trying to satisfy the two
Good suggestion !!
Most international students study masters with part time work of 20hrs every week.. I don't think full time work and full time coursework is possible .. After 2 months , it will lead to burnout syndrome..
Just no... full time at a top college will make sure to take you a tremendous amount of time. If you don't think that's the case you are getting, consider another school...
I did my Masters and worked full time at the same time ... The Masters was more like part time (2 classes a semester). It wasnt too bad. The worst part was I had no time to do anything and I was exhausted all the time 😌. Good luck trying to go to school full time. I know some classes you can only take during the day time.
Don't do it . I worked full time and add in your commute u barely have time to eat before getting to class and frying your brain for a few hours then getting sleep deprived Repeat that 5 times a day for 4 .months
Do college part time.
I did my masters part time while working full time. Definitely stressful and exhausting, so you have to know your own threshold. For me, graduating with very little debt was worth it. Full time in both would be possible, but both areas would suffer. If you're paying thousands of dollars for a degree, you shouldn't do it half-way. View it as you would any other investment.
Just do MOOC's like coursera or udacity. Why pay exorbitant amounts to get the same skills with time pressure? Lots of good colleges post classes online now too.
Doing onsite degrees full time while working full time, will be a pain in the butt, and near impossible. That's just based on the time alone to do classes (and when certain classes are offered), as well as commuting while working a 9-5. Online degrees are very possible full time while working full time. I obtained my bachelor's online going full time while in the Army. Now I am out of the Army and working on my Masters part time, while still working full time.
I am an Army Veteran too, thinking about doing my masters while fulltime Tech Job. GI bill will pay for my college and i get some monthly stipent too, dont wanna loose it by going less than half time. I am open to online degree as well. Thanks for your input.

Full-time school plus full-time career (latter as 40 hours a week paid hourly) is difficult and I would say impossible for most. A good rule of thumb is to multiply your credit hours by 3, and that is how much time you will spend a week on class work. It can be done but you need to be aware of your limitations and schedule your time wisely.
Disagree! I'm working demanding 40+ hours tech job & full time school. IMPORTANT: your have to do a good job managing your schedule and be efficient
@FKjW30 kudos to you!! Are you doing college online or on campus? How many hours per week you allocate for college ?
