Why would you not notify your neighbors? I don't believe they can reject, and my fumigation person/company required a signature from our neighbors saying that they were notified.
If you have SFH with > 6000 sq foot lot and no shared walls. No need to notify just for fumigation. If you are doing remodeling then do it during day time and not quiet hours.
I did leave a note and a small box of chocolate in front of adjacent neighbors doors to introduce ourselves, and inform them of upcoming home renovation, including fumigation.
No one objected to anything. I think they appreciated the heads-up and a couple even emailed to say hi.
It's a close knit community and I have a little one so I wanted to start on the right foot. Plus, we aren't moving in just yet because of the renovation. Having good relationships with neighbors also means there's a higher chance they look out for your house if anything funky happens.
Having said that, if I didn't have kids I probably wouldn't do any of the stuff above. I'm an introvert. lol
