Liberals have ruined EVs by creating a resentment among conservatives
Seeing their posted positions and they mention base salary range on their job postings. For positions in senior AI/ML roles, base is 120k-150k only. This is ridiculously low. How do they get away by paying so low? Is it because of remote candidates? Blind Tax: > 550k #health #healthcare #teladoc #livongo #teladochealth
I'm still negotiating an offer, but the initial offer I got had base 20K above thier max listed . True they pay less compared to big tech. It's for DS role
What’s the current offer? And is this DS-II? It definitely sounds like they pay like healthcare and not big tech
Will you update with what the salary band was and what you were able to achieve in terms of base, sign on, bonus, and RSUs when done? (Or something more general if uncomfortable) Thank you 🙏
DS II at $120K @ DFW. I’m not complaining because moving up from $85K
Thanks. 120k base or TC?
120K base. 45K RSU
Healthcare not the place to go for competitive TC and especially not health tech.
Yes, neither is security. PAN, Splunk, and Zoom lowballed me like crazy for ML focused security roles.
every company values different skills differently. i don't know what you do or your background so can't comment on what you were offered. not sure why the defensiveness.
What do you mean by data is a mess? Can you elaborate?
Usually for DS to work, you will hire DE to organize data and DS can run query easily. But from my personal experience, data here is not organized. It takes a long time to run a simple query. Also, tables are everywhere and there is no proper documentation…
We get bottom of the barrel engineers. There's a reason 80% of our engineers are outsourced contractors
Seriously? Outsourced contractors???
Tbh I don’t I understand why they keep hiring machine learning people… seriously they need to spend more money on data. I don’t think ml can help the business much at this stage
I have the same question as well😂😂😂
Are they able to hire with so low base or do they compensate TC with stock?
Not much stock as I know of. The TC is just very low😂 but guess there are always people in the market looking for ml jobs, so they can still recruit people with low salary…
