First, they complained about not knowing how to negotiate for their salaries, so they started getting easy large offers.

Now they are complaining they can't pass interviews and/or not having enough drive to pursue a tech career. Who am I talking about?

Fun Friday night topic. *grabs a bag of popcorn* 🍿

When hiring quotas are put in place, it's generally the below average members of the majority that get pushed out.

I don't give a shit about special privileges, I just want a basic level of respect.

If anything, this whole movement is causing the opposite of respect from others.

If you were on a sports team and management decided to start meeting diversity quotas, so they ignore highly qualified male athletes and choose to wait until a (possibly) qualified female applies, how can anyone respect that process? Complete garbage and doesn't make any sense, in terms of respect.

"Happily married with a beautiful wife and 2 beautiful girls. Trust me, I have plenty of finesse to get a date if I was single."

I feel these two statements are at odds. How do you know this unless you've continued to cultivate said "finesse" in the "single" world while married?

      So many questions.

Luckily some of the women I've worked with are the best developers I've ever met.

Eh, I'd avoid saying either sex is better at something. That's just a good way to turn people off from the discussion, and it's generally based on anecdotal evidence.

All I personally want is respect.

False. Do your research, don't parrot around anecdotal wishful thinking.

      Read this for real research-

Women on average are less hard wired for systems thinking and more hard wired for empathy and human connection.

There's plenty in my area and I've also seen highly qualified candidate resumes ignored because they're not female. Ass hattery at its finest.
