GC PERM pending, moving to India
I need to move back to India for personal reasons. My company has filed for PERM, but unfortunately I don't have time to wait for it's approval. I do have an i140 from previous job Questions: 1. If I leave now with PERM pending, Can I still apply for i140 from India? 2. Is it worth to get i140 for my current company, if I don't have plans to come back to USA at least 4-5 years. (and I have i140 from last job) Any response highly appreciated.
You have to wait for your green card for 80 years. Not sure what’s the point of i140 at all.

To answer OP question, you don't have to be in the US to file I140. If your employer willing to do so they can do.
