Hi, I have bachelors degree in mechanical engineering. Currently I am on my OPT, and will get STEM extension starting May 2020. Fragomen will be applying for my H1-B in April 2020. If my manager agrees, will it be a good move to apply for GC directly? What are pros & cons? Please help. #h1b #perm #rfe
pros: time. applying sooner is most always (but not always) better than later since that’ll get you get you into the system with a priority date (PD) assigned. cons: it may limit your ability to return to the US if you travel outside the US what’s your country of birth? unfortunately, a lot of the GC process depends on this. i’m not a lawyer
