Has GCP in Seattle started hiring for new offices? I am looking for a change but will need time to prepare. Just curious if anyone has been offered a job at those new buildings so that I can start my preparation
Yes. Multiple teams have more openings than candidates.
But they will still let less than 5% of the onsite candidates receive the offer, right?
Yeah. I just accepted and it's in the new building
Congrats bruv
Thanks!
Just signed with GCP. The team currently sits in Fremont but will move to SLU by the time I start.
Congrats. SWE?
Yes. L4
They’re also building a new building in Kirkland so expect even more jobs opening up. I talked to a recruiter yesterday and they essentially said there’s going to be a ton of hiring soon
Is there any new building in Seattle or any other place in Washington? Apart from kirkland

Any new people joining soon dm me if you want to be friends! 28/m/indian (abcd)
Those buildings will remain mostly empty. The only thing more conspicuous than a new building full of young tech workers is an empty building sitting on prime real estate.
Why would they remain empty
Display of wealth. Conspicuous consumption of prized real estate.
Start preparing now. Google process takes so long that you should start the interview process when building starts construction.
Rofl.
No joke. I was contacted by a recruiter in JUNE and my HC is just now meeting on Monday. I did push the onsite out a month after my TPS, but still.
