Enterprise or Mid-Market Sales or Account Management? What it entails - work pressure, peer pressure, sales cycle, success rate? Pay? Levels? Growth? or focus on someone like Snowflake? Appreciate some insights. #ae #enterprise #sales
If you have to ask you haven't done enough research.
Isn't this a kind of 'research'?
Come to Azure :)
Amazon has the old "no one ever lost their job buying ibm" going for it. Azure has the "well we will just run our windows stuff on azure" that doesn't leave anything for gcp. I use to have to sell against aws in a previous life and it was a nightmare. We want reference customers, we want reference architectures, can you do all this stuff aws and azure can. Probably a handful of verticals that are easier than others but i bet its a nightmare for most gcp sales reps
GCP is all about solving complex business challenges not the commody box shift you speak of. They're taking a data centric approach to the market.. it's a nightmware for the weak but a great place for those strong sales people who want to learn about ai and ml
Between GCP and AWS, GCP for work life balance . There should not be any second thought on this one. Although GCP is far behind AWS, the challenge is real. You will get enough to do and still enjoy better employee policies.
Any perspective on potential career growth from each one? I’ve heard it’s hard to sell GCP because of the other iaas players
don’t let any outsiders give u the impression that AWS is less challenging. AWS puts you up against the biggest challengers in the industry: itself.
