2. Bigger basket sizes will make breaking even easier
3. Ads to the moon. Can't say the same for doordash, uber, or lyft
4. Probably gonna subsidize item prices to make them lower than store prices eventually.
5. International expansion (More scale)
6. Dark stores to speed up and eventually automate everything
7. Straight up top tier talent hired now.
8. Probably some other stuff too like paying influencers on TikTok (yes I use TikTok).
9. Andreessen horowitz is not dumb, neither is sequoia. Particularly Andreessen invests in companies that they have high conviction in and is/will dominate its market. Their participation in such late stage fundraising indicates very high conviction. (You can assume they vetted the numbers and business plan for you).
Robinhood and Instacart were by far the worst experiences. Instacart banks on you drinking on their koolaid, especially since the pandemic has rly boosted these pplβs ego. And at the time Robinhood thought they were hot π© only to be π© because of the entire gme thing.
Funny enough, when I spoke with the recruiters and some team members at Coinbase around the time that the Robinhood was gaining a lot of bad publicity, Coinbase said they were doing really well because of it. π
