Edit: okay sorry now that you added “basic algebra and geometry” my comment is incorrect. Thanks for the clarification.
GMAT is just slightly better SAT. Mostly High School math and logic. If you are a native speaker it is not that hard.
Let me give you a clear example: someone that gets a high score in GMAT can still struggle and fail to understand complex recursion. DP is even harder. (It is hard for even professional engineers).
The opposite is much easier. If you can deal with recursion and DP fine, you probably have the mental capacity to excel at the GMAT given enough time/studying. (Non native speakers will be at a greater disadvantage though).
