I am Negotiating my salary. Recruiter started from Base salary of 145k , 150k , 160k from here going 1k by 1k to increase I never experienced something like this negotiation Now we are at 170k. I tried smart way of expectations without clearly telling my any numbers but as recruiter going this much cheap way of negotiating , I started mine expectations 250k , 210k , 200k, 185k and now at 180k. Overall Structure so far discussed : Base : 170k New hire stocks : 40k (when he was at 160k he said he would give 52k stocks as based negotiated to increase this one he decreased back to 40k) Bonus : 20% Sign on bonus : He mentioned one time about this but never talked about any number. As the call went on for 1 hour I felt it is not going good , then I said can you send email what you want to give in total TC then I will look at that and we can have another to discuss clearly. Can someone help me how to negotiate well and ask him to use the levels.fyi as reference to give the similar TC. He always saying levels.fyi is not correct people just whatever they want something like that. TC: 160k YOE: 16

Today my hiring manager told that he would increase salary after 3 months and he told in his team most them will have better numbers end of the year not sure if it is true but I liked it. My recruiter again started cheap negotiation, I told my expectation
If they can increase salary 3* months after start, why won't they increase it from the start date? Seems sketchy
