Gaming the Google HC
I've never interviewed at Google, but was wondering how does the HC know that it's me they are interviewing? If the team I match with doesn't meet me before HC, what's stopping me from having a friend do my onsite for me?
They check your ID.
Do you think HC sits in a room isolated from everyone else? There is likely someone in your org

Say you fake the ID, how are you going to fake the SSN employment background checks ... hereâs an idea make him wear a prosthetic mask better yet get someone from the HC to interview for you

Idk about google but I work adjacent to teams who have interviewed me in Amazon lol
One of my interviewers became my TL. He gave me a DP problem and I aced in about half the allotted time. He put in strong hire recommendation. His team had headcount, TLM liked the feedback from his TL and so guess who I spoke to during team matching. (I didnât know the interviewer was TL on that team till I started.) Iâve spoken to / had drinks with a couple of my other interviewers, e.g. at our recent offsite. Just curious, suppose someone on your team interviews your substitute, TLM hires you, and you show up instead. Whatâs your contingency plan?
Contingency plan is to reject any TM requests with team members who interviewed you. Dunno about you but I forget people pretty quickly, especially if Iâm interviewing a lot. If someone showed up 3 months later and said I interviewed them Iâd probably just take their word for it.
Ok, now suppose the TLM that you speak to doesnât randomly say âthese are the names of the team membersâ
OP, are you married? Does your friend visit ur home often?
I mean yeah, sure you can probably do that, get fake id and all that. But why would you think your friend who can work for google will risk time in prison for you to get into google? For money? If he got a job at google, I donât think he will need to worry about that anymore. If you pay him millions then you wonât need that google job. So, long story short, game theory is a b***h and no one will do this for you.
