I am fairly confident (correct me if I'm wrong) that DeepMind is largely about research and ML PhDs How does Google Brain compare in this regard? I'm a Software Engineer in ML with 4 YoE and Master's in ML. Are there positions in these groups for SWEs/MLEs without PhDs? What kinda work do these people do? I'm also curious to hear what teams at Google are the best for MLEs. Thank You!
Google brain has many projects under it which involve software engineering and ml engineering as well. Many folks with undergrads and masters in the group as well.
That's great! Do you have any examples of projects I can look into?
It would be better to directly speak to a manager or get team matched there. Won't be able to share projects here.
I know for a fact Deepmind has none PhD SWE roles as well
Interesting I'd love to hear more about this. Where would you recommend I navigate my career? I am a software engineer first a foremost with a strong understand (I hope) of ML and data science. So marketing myself as SWE first and ML secondary or rather area of focus.
That was an exceptionally thorough answer thank you
Hey , how different are the the Applied Scientist and Research Scientist roles at Amazon?
Thanks, but do both these roles require a PhD?
