Applied and interviewed with google early in 2021. Passed hiring committee but needed a team match. Recruiter suggested I go in for Android, so I did.
I had one interview with a hiring manager who passed and we're approaching the year mark after the HC decision. Basically the recruiter has checked in from time to time to try to persuade me to move to another city, which I don't want to do.
I guess I'm just venting. I suppose I should have applied as generalist. At this point just applying to other places.

I’m sure a google recruiter will reach back out to you in the next year if you’re interested in doing another loop
Google has me feeling like I'm spending all day interviewing for a job that doesn't even exist so not sure I want to bother with doing another loop for a while.
Swinging for Lyft and Twitter at this point which both seem like they have good WLB. Might try for Stripe but sounds like there's a real good chance it turns into a ton of work. Which is fine I guess.
