  • Teslas are useless in a hurricane evacuation scenario, my primary vehicle needs to be able to do that. Too expensive as a second or third car. I absolutely love the performance and technology otherwise.

      As much as I love Tesla and my Tesla stock, remember that Tesla’s fate will not be decided by how well they sell in the Bay Area

      But the spill over effect. People are buying this stuff when it’s basically a working theory. The Bay Area will fund the r&d for them to achieve economy of scale and for the world to build the appropriate infrastructure needed. Right now, just don’t know who’s going to be the dominant ev player. This poll makes me thinking Tesla might be on to something. The iPhone of cars maybe? Recently heard from a friend that ford and gm have something sneaky up theirs sleeves.

    I do NOT have a Tesla but it will be my next vehicle. Did the math and I’m literally spending another car payment in gas. With cheap energy rates ($0.10/kWh year round) I will free up enough in the vehicle part of my budget to buy one.
