Getting an IT job with Microsoft

What else should I do to increase my chances in getting an IT job with Micorsoft? Currently I have three and a half years of experience of creating and implementing Power BI reports/dashboards, and about year and half of experience with PowerApps and Flow. I am planning to start looking for new opportunities in about year and a half therefore the experience will increase. i was thinking to get a Microsoft Power BI ceritificate and maybe PowerApps one as well in the meantime. Besides this I have knowledge and experience in , Oracle database (school knowledge), Access, Excel, SAP, Visual Basic (school knowledge). My current core responsibilities are research & development, consulting the business and training the users. Am I on the right track? What else should I do to improve myself? Thank you

Sounds like you have basic skills for a data analyst role. Not even data science, just querying data and showing it with the template visuals Power BI gives. Hopefully you actually use the R or Python Scripting feature to make your own? I don’t know if a SWE position cares for that experience at all, assuming SWE is what you mean by IT.

This is a good point, if endgame is work at MS, SWE is the fastest way to go provided you're good at programming. I think career prospect and TC wise though there are much better opportunities as some kind of solution architect either at BASF or joining a consulting firm that delivers these apps.

Data analyst role like that might get you a consultant role eventually if you get really good..3-5 years, but even then it would be pretty competitive. MS is in the business of building those platforms for creating the apps not delivering the business solution with those apps.
