I have an interview for quant analysis/data science for commodities company. I don't know shit about commodities. How can I best get up to speed in time for my interview and what should I know going into it?
Be able to name some commodities (e.g., oil, natgas, metals, agriculturals) and get an idea of what the company’s focus is. Unless you’ve led them to believe otherwise, it is very unlikely that they will expect somebody interviewing for a quant position to know any more than that.
You shouldn’t try hiding your lack of knowledge. It’ll be too obvious. Sell well what skills and knowledge you got
