Are people at Amazon less accomplished/interesting?

I know a few SWEs at companies like Google, FB, Airbnb. One is a concert pianist that played at Carnegie Hall when he was like 10 (Google). One is a gymnast and cheerleader at a top engineering school (FB). One is training for the Olympics in Kenya (FB). One is an astrophysicist who got a Google offer without taking any CS classes (Google). One is an intern that has a pilots license (FB). All of them are traditionally attractive.
Meanwhile everyone at Amazon that I know is pretty plain, most went to state schools not known for CS, most came from boring places and have basic hobbies like hiking. Is there a reason for this? Do you know any exceptional people at Amazon?

If these people were that accomplished and interesting, that wouldn't be working in low level roles at giant corporations.
I know a guy in Amazon who's won debates at a national level, highly proficient in martial arts, is a triathlete, teaches tango professionally and is a top performer at Amazon.
