#finance I want to lend my own money directly (not through Funding Circle or similar) to a business over the internet, how can I do it?
The closest websites I can think of to this are Lending Club and Prosper, but they are intermediated, unsecured, and you are not directly lending to the business.
Yep, but curious what it takes to actually do it directly. Weird that there are 0 answers from fin ppl :)
Email the CEO a term sheet
Thank you! And then?

Why would you want to do something like this? This sounds horribly risky.
Indeed, I’d like to learn how to de-risk. E.g. KYC, docusign for terms, lien, promissory note, and maybe have a way to access something like a paypal or bank account to recover.
This makes sense... But if the business has good collateral like this, they would probably have access to good credit terms from a normal bank, right?
