Literally there’s gotta be a better way to get honest, factual employee-based reviews. This BS where startups have their HR go on glassdoor to make positive reviews OR having their interns write something is immoral. I mean I totally get it. But it’s so frustrating because before I search Blind i’ll see what glassdoor says. But in reality it’s a waste because most reviews are fake. There’s gotta be a better solution.
Job feedback transparency should be a thing. The kind you get every quarter or so. Okay stupid joke aside... I think the best you have is Blind.
lol. But yeah looks like Blind is the best solution as of right now
Glassdoor is okay for some companies, it is totally fake for some. As you mentioned usually those are startups with big funding who can pay to Glassdoor.
What's the guarranty that the positive comments on blind for a company is not from HR? They can also join blind. I can't trust any system now a days
Can you trust your English?
Blind is the Michelin Guide as Glassdoor is Yelp
I think it’s the other way around for most posts. Michelin Guide often doesn’t live up to its name in my experience (of cuz I have never tried the most expensive ones).
Michelin Guide hires specific connoisseurs to conduct their food ratings particularly for gourmet food, Well the next equivalent would be Zagat on that note as they too also have their ratings for restaurants with an experienced professional for all categories. In analogy, Glassdoor is as close to Yelp as it gets: amateur/scripted reviews, info about an establishment and not from an insider that works there, anybody with a bogus account can just sway the reviews and ratings
LinkedIn has a competing product for salary info
Not looking for salaries tho, just reviews
I’ve seen a company repeatedly delete any new negative reviews while having HR employees flood it with glowing but total BS reviews So yes for some companies pages it’s total bull shit
Why are companies allowed to delete a negative review ? Amazon will not allow seller to remove a neg review .
Glassdoor allows companies to “manage” their own pages for a price
Glassdoor isn’t that bad. Other than than talking to actual employees it’s the best you will get.
Hey Procore! DM?
Better solution is searching blind first ;)
