Recently bought 20k of BTC and 11k of ETH. Extremely excited about both.

What do you guys think is the better investment long term?

    Ethereum is *not* silver. Ethereum is building a fantastic ecosystem and supports smart contracts. However, Bitcoin's deflationary model, makes it the perfect digital store of value.

    I'm extremely bullish on ETH 2.0: the goal is to scale, move to proof of stake and finally add new privacy features which will allow big companies to build on it. EIP 1559 will fix the unlimited supply issue. ETH will be used as "fuel" for all applications built on top of it. If the regulators don't halt its progress in the next couple of years, it will become a massive decentralized finance tsunami.

      Quite low odds. But there are people in direct competition with ETH so they might push SEC to evaluate Ethereum-2.0. Even if they do, I don't think Ethereum will be treated as a security. Their best bet is to spread FUD about Ethereum being a security. Keep in mind, Ethereum was cleared by SEC on 2018.

      Would that mean that ETH is actually a better long term (as in, hundreds of years) option? As we have seen, money patterns cause wealth to get trapped within a small percentage of the population much like plastic beaches in the ocean. This is why printing money is necessary. If you can’t print bitcoin, how will you solve problems when you need a stimulus like in the last year?

    ETH is what folks need to buy at this pointβ€”while it is still cheap. LTC is also worth buying imho. BTC is just super expensive for most people.
