Every year I travel to a new country and post up there for 4 weeks, so I can experience it fully like a local. Is there any tips/suggestions or anything you’d say to someone going to India for the first time. I will be staying in Delhi, but travelling throughout.
Always keep a working internet connection on your phone. Collect local item rates Don't eat anything offered by a stranger If possible , know someone in delhi before hand Collect all emergency numbers
Don’t drink tap water

Try Kerala
And karela
🤔
Be safe, enjoy street food, people are warm in general, also people tend to notice outsiders a lot
Terrible advice. Street food was near death for me last time I went.
There are good places as well, you have to identify them
Visit all the historic sites in Neighboring Agra and Fathepur Sikri. Take a (legitimate / govt run) guided tour to understand the deep history in that place.
Do guided tours to historical sites. Base yourself out of a different city. Delhi is more polluted than Beijing, and is the most polluted city in the world. Lots of people plus lots of pollution will keep your mind too busy for a vacation. Try northern india, west India (karala), or Goa. Are you male or female? White, black, brown, yellow? Unfortunately your ethnicity and sex can complicate things. White and Male, no problem in most Asian countries. Other...could be problematic.
Wth, what does black, brown, yellow, orange or male or gay or lesbian or anything matters lol
Hahaha because it does.
Make sure you are up to date on vaccines and stuff. Have fun!
Take and liberally use mosquito spray - especially wrists, neck and ankles. Nasty lil critters 😳
Avoid cold food too like sandwiches etc. stay away from beetle leaf “Paan”. Careful with pick pocketrs that are every where Check few YouTube videos on traveling to India. They have good ideas, scams to avoid and how to travel locally

Avoid Delhi. The pollution levels are crazy at this time of the year due to crop burning in neighbouring states. I would recommend Rajasthan or Southern India.
Its raining there. Pollution is low
Where in southern India? "Southern" India is a generalization.
