Go is like python but better because it has types

Python 3.7 has type hints now.

Microsoft Tier 1 Jul 30, 2019

Go is nothing like Python though

Google rQsc13 Jul 30, 2019

I like Go for performance, but Python has my heart as first love

Twitch jettyman Jul 30, 2019

Tried go n hated it. Everything seems anti pattern to me coming from a Java n python world

Lyft TEHm35 Jul 30, 2019

Both are awful languages šŸ¤®

Amazon UniCRONJob Jul 30, 2019

Let me guess. You like Java and only Java.

SAP SAPPIER Jul 30, 2019

No, Iā€™m sure heā€™s VB .NET

SAP SAPPIER Jul 30, 2019

Itā€™s a rather strange choice. Kinda like PHP vs Java. You cannot really compare those two well.

Microsoft Tier 1 Jul 30, 2019

Thatā€™s easy. Php sucks.

SAP SAPPIER Jul 30, 2019

And Java runs on 5 billion devices. Flawlessly.

Microsoft micrusade Jul 30, 2019

Go for hardcore steep coding with great performance, Python for ez life.

Uber mH7bSe Jul 31, 2019

Go is for not-so-hardcore not-so-performing but-python-is-too-slow. For real hardcore performance C++ is the way to go.

Microsoft micrusade Jul 31, 2019

Yes I agree. C/C++ is that costly car(in terms of steep curve) which we never talk about. Golang is a bit costlier car(includes garbage collection) which we can talk about.

Dropbox bigbeans Jul 30, 2019

Just curious, did you talk about this with a candidate over lunch today?

Netflix fuckoffs Jul 30, 2019

Damn! This is tough one. Both are good.

Uber mH7bSe Jul 31, 2019

I'd like py cuz go looks strange. But shit py is so fking slow.
