Finished the Goldman Sachs hackerrank a few weeks ago. Passed all testcases and solved both problems in like half the time given. How long until I should expect to hear back?
Hacker rank means very little I think. You need hcm to prescreen you now and a hiring manager to pick you out of the pool. "A few weeks" seems too long to take the next step. Follow up and brag about how good you are on hacker rank to hcm.
What is hcm?
Human capital management. Essentially the person who asked you to do hacker rank.
GS has a very weird hiring process, I don’t think they evaluate your technical skill that much.
What level were the questions? I have a hackerrank challenge coming up. Just trying to get an idea.
LC easy, but again they don’t care much about your tech skills.
Sorry if I'm too naive here. But what do they care about?
I was an interviewer back at GS. After you pass online assessment, a hiring manager will need to pick you up to proceed. Onsite interviews are team specific usually. So....it’s possible you are good but no hm has selected you, potentially because of skillset match or hc

Why would someone from Google go to Goldman Sachs. No offence to GS, it might be doing interesting things, but isn't their pay low like 100k base in NYC?
He is probably in contracting at G?
I am not OP, but being a big fish in a small pond is sometimes a very good idea
