Looking to move places and Amsterdam looks like a good city to start with. I don't know people there so does anyone know interesting non-fang companies that have good non tech roles? I have 2 YOE in launching products, building programs for user engagement, partner management and super interested in switching industries to learn more right now.
Not sure how easy the transfer is for nontech roles but IMC, Optiver, and Flow Traders have major offices/HQs in Amsterdam.
Uber
Adyen, Lightspeed, Nike are some others to look up. Amazon and ebay have tech teams in Amsterdam too. Big one is definitely Booking.
Thanks. Lightspeed looks like they're doing some interesting stuff, do you know anyone over there I could chat with?
I would not go to Amsterdam to work for Uber - it will essentially mean lots of California travel and way too many late night meetings. Go to Amsterdam to work for a European company (and Booking is the largest Tech company in that city)
&ba12 Yes but I'm looking for some some good local companies in different industries
Bulldog Cafe ?
Check out Flexport- we’re hiring for non-tech (and a couple tech) positions in Amsterdam!
Booking.com is headquartered there. Pays well too
How's the culture?
Can enjoy a good wlb, long coffee breaks, lunch breaks etc. no overtime, good office location. It is where careers come to die, but is quite a nice nursing home
