Hi Team, I've gotten an FTE offer from Microsoft slated to start in late December/early January at the HQ in Redmond. I'm moving from the East Coast, so I am very unfamiliar with the area. How does Connector work? (I haven't gotten the details yet). What are the best apartments/places to live near a Connector bus stop? Are there public buses that come to the MSFT HQ as well? I will purchase a car about 6 months out, so will need something walkable to a bus stop/public transit that will get me directly to the MSFT HQ until then. I am a single male, in my mid 20s, and don't care about nightlife/socializing. Thank you! TC: 130k
Not many people start then, so you should be able to find a place easily, and even negotiate. There's a TON of new apts that were just built right by campus. Might make sense for you to live close by for a little, save a lot, and then find what area you REALLY want to live in. Btw MSFT campus is huge. Try to find out what building you'll be working in from your manager.

Worried that our top performer is an attrition risk. How do managers handle this?
