Why are Americans obsessed with SUV?
Got an offer for Senior Software Engineer from LinkedIn (Sunnyvale) recently - how does it compare to offers from other companies? Years of Experience: 5 years at Microsoft. Base: 185k Bonus: 10% (18500) RSU: 300k over 4 years TC: 278500 I tried to negotiate for 300k but this is what they got back to me with.
Pretty good offer, what is your YOE?
5 years in total. All within Microsoft.
Do you have competing offers?
I have an offer from another Microsoft team, which can't really compete with the LinkedIn offer. I do have a few on-sites coming up with companies which I believe offer comparable TC though.
Pretty good. I have moved from Microsoft as well.
Which org/team? pm me if you don’t want to mention here
Isn’t LinkedIn part of Microsoft?
Yes and no.
Hey OP! For some reason, I am not able to DM you! :(
@OP I see that you have replied to my DM. But, for some reason, as soon as I open your chatbox, in particular, my Blind app crashes. I have raised the bug to the Blind team. I will reply to you as soon as I am able to read your messages (Hope they are able to fix it before my on-site). Thanks, by the way!
I had a pretty similar offer two months ago 180/300/60. 4.5 yoe at Microsoft. Looks like a good offer.
$190k try!
No sign on?
Microsoft to LinkedIn is considered internal transfer so no sign on. We do get to keep our unvested MS stock though.
It's not an internal transfer. You should be able to get sign on. I got 60k sign on with similar base and stocks as yours.
Location matters
Good call - it's Sunnyvale. Post updated.
