Good Microsoft teams in the bay area?
Are there any good Microsoft teams in the bay area? I'm specifically looking for backend work in Azure cloud using managed high level languages, no C or C++. The only positions I found were in the database teams - PostgreSQL and SQL Server big data. For the PostgreSQL team, they are pretty much looking for PostgreSQL open source committers so that's a no. The postgres opening looks good. It is a good project coalescing open source and Microsoft azure technologies. Why don't you want to apply for this? Also the levels you posted are different. What level are you looking for?
Needs someone who has committed to postgres
I’m looking for Senior level, have over 8 years of experience. I have no doubt that it’s a good project. I worked at a database company doing C early in my career and it’s not something I want to specialize in. I’ve been writing backends in Java ever since. I would be okay with doing Rust in a high performance system, but going back to C would be a step back for me.
