What are good tech companies in interesting places in Europe which are bringing L5 SWEs in? By "good" I mean good WLB and good pay (in which I can live in reasonably good areas and still not struggle with money). I'm ok working on uninteresting/boring projects/products as long as I have the first two. I'm a non-EU citizen with 10yoe.
What are the challenges they face? I feel it’s pretty sorted company now and they only have non interesting projects
How interesting is stockholm and gothenburg when compared against London? Would I have to learn swedish or can people get around with English?
Switzerland is the only place where you’ll be paid similarly to US
Yeah but it's expensive as fuck. I don't care earning less as long as the COL is fair.
If you don't mind me asking, what's your motivation to move to Europe?
Quality of life I assume
The US is great, much better than where I came from (South America). But after visiting multiple places in Europe I believe I'd be happier in that environment, specially for raising a family. In the US kids grow up in an extremely competitive environment, if your kid doesn't play an instrument and have 3 science awards by the age of 10 they are a loser. This is definitely not healthy. Additionally, we feel like we'll have a lot more options for short trips there.
Booking.com HQ is in Amsterdam. City is great, pay is fair (can’t compare to Bay Area of course), WLB is great.
but experience requirements are super strict :(
What are the requirements?
Volvo Cars Digital, offices in Stockholm and Gothenburg, and lots of challenging work transform from wholesaler to direct customer relationships. Hiring like crazy in those offices especially
Warsaw, Google office there. Decent pay and QoL.
what’s decent TC in there?
Can people get by with English only?

Is internal transfer in Google not an option?
Yes, I'm also looking into it. However Zurich seems a bit too extreme to me in a few aspects, I want to explore other options too.
What do you mean by extreme?
