Good companies to work for on the Eastside (WA)
I have been flipping and flopping the last 6 months on whether I want to leave AWS (great org). Love it there, but pay is abysmal compared to market. Considering Microsoft because I like the Redmond area (or Bellevue!), or Google because I also like the Kirkland area. Starting to really hate Seattle area, would love to move to the Eastside. Are there any alternatives to these companies? Google feels like a crapshoot wrt teams because it's a satelite office. TC 180k, 6yoe.

Um Jeff is moving all of Amazon to Bellevue because Seattle is a shithole.
Yeah, but location change doesn't change TC. Location was only part of the motivation, tbh. I'll have to switch companies for a TC bump. At 6yoe (all Amazon) what do you think a realistic offer from MS could be?
Why do you not like Seattle
Feels like the whole city has gone downhill since I moved here. Kinda grungy. I also love the amount of green on the Eastside. So many trees.
