I am a junior software engineer and interested in moving from my current job. I just wanted to know which companies in the Silicon Valley are the best to learn and gain solid experience? I would need Visa sponsorship.
visa sponsorship is everywhere in the bay. good companies are way fewer, nothing else but FAANG.
As far as I know these companies no longer provide Visa sponsorship for junior positions. Is that right ?
I am personally having a hard time not getting immediately hung up the moment I mention I will need sponsorship as a new grad. Wouldn't be surprised
Facebook, Google, Apple, etc. Basically every company. But the visa system involves a random lottery. Your best option would be to stay at Careem until the Uber acquisition is complete, then move to Uber. Transfers within the same company can use a different visa (L-1) and do not require a lottery. You can use offers from others as leverage to negotiate Uber to transfer you to their HQ.
I thought of that but the thing is Careem will still be operating independently. So there’s is no chance of internal transfer.
Subsidiary operating independently does not disqualify you from the L-1 visa if you do get a job at Uber by applying the traditional way.
