Good exit opportunities for AMZN Applied Scientists in Seattle
What are some good next companies (TC, growth, learning) for an Amazon Applied Scientist in Seattle? Google doesn't have ML roles in Seattle. Facebook has research scientist openings in Seattle but has a very high bar (I was told by recruiter that you need to have 30+ publications).

Google has lot of computer vision related efforts in Seattle. Not sure if your ML background is geared towards computer vision. Microsoft can be a good choice too.

FB recruiter is BSing you. Most tenured faculty don't even have 30+ publications, and certainly not the FB research scientists. You can get a research scientist position at FB with very few (or even 0) publications.
What did you end up doing
New grad phd who met sde bar will automatically get research scientist title so definitely the recruiter is bsing. Also consider mle.
