I've mostly just been leetcoding, but I realized that I should probably also come prepared with questions to ask. What are some good questions to ask the interviewer? Here's a few ideas that I've had: Why did you choose to work at Amazon? What's your favorite leadership principle? What are your favorite aspects of Amazon's workplace culture or what do you love most about working at Amazon? TC: 92k
Ask interviewer the same questions in return
Ask them if they commit to hiring you, even if they disagree
Oh, right, "disagree and commit" lol
I always ask them about a usual day at work. Sometimes I also ask them specifically how many days they need to work after usual business hours.
Ask whatever actually interests you.
Why, in general, are you guys cheap?
I did not ask any of the questions that you’ll easily find on google. Rather framed questions at runtime depending on things we were discussing during the interview. Really not a fan of asking those “generic memorized” questions. PS: I cleared the onsite loop.
You must've hated the concept of Dynamic Programming then😜
Ask them if they are on dev list
Please don’t ask questions like those. Focus on asking questions whose answers will genuinely help inform your decision about whether to work on that team or not. Off the top of my head: “How long does it take between pushing a commit and it being deployed to prod?” “How many pages / week avg has your team received over the last year?” “What would my first project be?” “What is the team’s code review process?” “How long does it take new engineers to ramp up?” “What languages are used primarily on this team?” “How many people have left the team in the last year?” “How many SDE 1s, 2s, 3s are there on the team?” “How long has the manager been on this team? What about their manager?” All good questions for an engineer to ask.
Nice list
Thanks a ton. I really appreciate that
Challenge the interviewer with a leetcode hard.
