Got a verbal offer from Visa today for a TPM role based in Austin. Should I continue looking for roles in Bay Area Or take the offer and relocate? Any suggestions, key take always to keep in mind? CMU grad, 3 years of experience.
Austin can pay pretty close to Bay Area
Not really
Big companies can
Why can't they hire u for Foster city?
Role and team based out of Austin, apparently no openings here in Foster City.
I am in Bay area and I want to move to Austin 😭
What’s the package (comp, relo, etc.). Currently live in Austin, so I could tell you what that affords.
Go to Austin! It ain't worth it...
It’s a beautiful place, but comes with open carry.
Any thoughts?
It’s Texas, the culture is much more conservative.
Would that add on to the work culture as well? Or in general?
What’s the package they giving you? Knowing that can help us to understand what you can afford. But generally speaking Austin way more affordable that BA, but it comes with compromises as usual. Also side question - what your YOE being TPM, how were you preparing for the TPM interviews, was it hard interviewing at Visa? Thank you
Package range is between 90-105k. I have 3YOE as a PM. It was pretty decent, I had multiple rounds with the director and VP. Let me know if you're looking to interview and we can speak more.
Is it TPM or product analyst,if it's TPM 105 is less.
