Google - Failed 3 attempts

I have failed my 3rd attempt. Last two years, before google interviews, I interviewed with Facebook, Twitter and Palantir. Passed them all. But not Google. I have5 yoe. Next time I apply it’ll be for L4 and it’ll only get harder. I feel like quitting. I have spent past 3 years working damn hard and missed out on making friends and have a good social life. I know there’s no question in my entire write up. I don’t know what I am seeking. I want to know if anyone can know what I am seeking here and guide me. Yoe 5 Tc ~180k Sde 2 @62

5 yoe and 62 is good as well. So don't worry. If Google is your dream, don't give up on it. But be clear about Why do you want to join Google. It's okay to miss friends and a good social life, but do give your family the time they deserve. Google is the best but yet another company. Personal opinion: Never give up!

People say third times’ the charm, but in this case, it looks like you’ve lost the farm. Darm.

Losing up on social life bcoz of interview prep for a specific company is stupid imo. If its for short period like 2-3 months then its other thing, but 3 years is hell of a time to throw away and put yourself in that kind of stress. Also, no matter how much you prepare you can never be sure. No one can be. So easy peasy

Can you get around 3 time limit by applying for Sr SWE or SRE instead of SWE? I heard it’s 3 times per position

Why not Facebook or somewhere else? Also how many actual problems have you done without looking at solutions?

If it makes you feel any better, nobody cares where you work. May be its exciting for a couple of weeks but then it's all same (routine scrum, work, weekends, groceries...) Go where the destiny takes you. But at the same time, never give up. Stand and try harder. Don't let some shorty googlers demoralize you. You did well in the interview and that's what matters. Be proud of yourself and next time when you go, go with aim of failing - that way you'll have nothing to lose and you'll be more relaxed. Hope this helps.

At least they call you again and again! What feedback recruiter gave you? Was it for same team every time or different one? Is there anything specific which you are trying to accomplish and can be accomplished only in google and no where else?

going to Google isn't the end of all things. why didn't you take Facebook, or other tech companies offers? if it makes you feel any better, I failed my FB interview, but passed Google on the first try.

Why would that make him feel better?

Google SergeyBlin Apr 11, 2019

Well, the OP is not asking a question so we cannot give an answer...

Well if this makes you feel better, I failed Google Facebook and am on a sinking ship.
